I love to use YouTube as a resource for the Early Childhood Classroom.  For many years I have shared with my classroom the books online and the children have so enjoyed the stories. I usually read the book in class first before I share the online story, and then I will share the same story from YouTube. I think repetition and a variety of teaching tools help to keep the children engaged. Finally, I will have the children act out particular stories and plan activities based around the books, to help us recognize and recall what we remember from the books, or to teach skills, such as print awareness.

Took a drive through the canyons to leaf peep! So grateful to live close by these beautiful mountains full of Aspen and Pine trees. The colors were amazing.  What a relaxing way to end the weekend and feel at peace before the start of another week! 



            

Do you have hopes and dreams that you think about often? I have a few hopes and dreams and they seem so unattainable at times. But I keep trying and keep planning for them to come true. Dare to dream!

Keep trying!

This has been a very tough week to say the least! I have shed a few tears and felt like giving up! Friday I came home from work and my youngest son who still lives at home, had cleaned the house and mowed the lawn. Then my three other sons who live on their own called to check on me and tell me they loved me and appreciated me as their mom. Gratitude for these simple joys that remind me to keep trying, because I have kids who look up to me even when they are grown and on their own.

Fall Equinox is two weeks away!

The nights are getting cooler and I'm loving it. Two blankets by morning. Ready for Fall but not Winter.

Learning To Blog

I am so happy to be learning how to set up a blog and I cant wait to get into it! Blogger can be complicated. Anyhow now I need to work on learning LucidPress so I can make a flyer and a newsletter by next Tuesday. Wish me luck!
